McGill Students for World Vision is founded with the mission to help achieve the goals set by World Vision- an international humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities worldwide. We set out to tackle the causes of poverty and injustice in communities and we are determined to improve the lives of all poor children and families, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity and gender.
Our key activities include fundraising, advocacy and education within the McGill community. We hold weekly executive meetings and monthly general meetings, in order to brainstorm ideas to make these goals a reality. In order to promote awareness on campus, we participate in projects such as 30 Hour Famine and Child Sponsorship. Furthermore, we hold a variety of smaller events, including clothing drives, samosa/bake sales for fundraising and ad-hoc events to support major current issues. We also have an international volunteering trip to Boca Chica, Colombia, where we send volunteers to work to make sustainable changes in the community.
All of us here at McGill Students for World Vision are driven to make a difference in the world. We’d love to have you on board! Help us make these dreams a reality.
